How do I get to the Vancouver Racquets Club?
The Vancouver Racquets Club is located at 4867 Ontario Street at the intersection of Ontario Street and 33rd Avenue. The main landmarks are Queen Elizabeth Park to the west and Nat Bailey Stadium to the north of VRC. Click here to view map
Is there parking available?
Parking is for club members and registered guests. Cars parked in areas other than the allowed spots, or not displaying a VRC parking sticker, or not signed in the guest book will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Is the membership on a monthly basis?
No, but we offer a 3 month trial membership available to new members only.
New members can join at any time and pay the pro-rated amount until April 30.
Upon renewal the membership is on an annual basis and our year runs from May 1 to April 30.
There are monthly and semi-annual payment options available for some categories, but membership ends April 30th for all members regardless of the method of payment.
Is there a dress code?
Members are asked to dress appropriately and neatly in the spirit of badminton, squash or fitness. In determining acceptable dress, good manners and good sportsmanship prevail while neatness, tidiness and choice of colour are important considerations. Wear light coloured clothes when possible particularly on court. In all cases, proper sports attire is required.
No black sole shoes are permitted on court. Only non-marking shoes are permitted. Indoor court shoes.
Can I rent the Vancouver Racquets Club for a special event?
Certain areas of the Club are available for rental purposes for meetings, parties, banquets, and other social functions. Rates are available by calling the VRC Office at 604-874-0242.
