Monday Doubles Ladder
Every full time badminton member is welcome. Each player competes individually in Doubles play. Three games are played, one with each player in your group. The top two players advance, bottom two players drop down. Absentees drop two spots. A great way to meet doubles players and improve your doubles play. Tags must be pulled out by 7:50 pm and player must be ready to play at 8:00 pm.
Wednesday Mixer Night
Every full time badminton member is welcome.
Players must sign up on the chalkboard by 8:00 pm. A great opportunity to meet other members.
Thursday Mixed Ladder
You must provide your own partner for this ladder. At least one partner must be a member. Email the Office to request registration or new partnerships. Log on at Ladder.vrc.bc.ca to indicate attendance every Thursday. Deadline is 5:00 pm.
TEMPORARY START TIME – Due limited court time at Vancouver Lawn, effective Thursday, July 11, 2019, the XD Ladder will start at 7:30 pm. Matches need to end by 10 pm. (NOTE: Once the VRC badminton hall re-opens, the XD Ladder will resume to start at 8:00 pm.)
Teams are grouped in three or four and each team plays two matches. Top teams advance and bottom teams drop down on the ladder board, which allows teams to play at their own level.
Wednesday Junior Ladder
All junior badminton members are welcome to take part in this competitive Singles ladder. Players must have their tags pulled by 3:45 pm and be ready to play at 4:00 pm. Players are arranged in groups of 3 or 4 with a round robin format, each player plays a singles match against each player in their group. Winners advance and non-winners drop down; nylon shuttles will be provided.
Junior Group Training
The Junior Program at VRC is extensive and available to both members and non-members under the age of 19. Players are grouped according to skill level.
