Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to the Vancouver Racquets Club?
The Vancouver Racquets Club is located at 4867 Ontario Street at the intersection of Ontario Street and 33rd Avenue.  The main landmarks are Queen Elizabeth Park to the west and Nat Bailey Stadium to the north of VRC.

Is there parking available?
Parking is for club members.  Cars parked in areas other than the allowed spots or not displaying a VRC parking sticker will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Is the membership on a monthly basis?
No, but we offer a 3-month trial membership available to new members only.
New members can join at any time and pay the pro-rated amount until April 30.  Upon renewal, the membership is on an annual basis and our year runs from May 1 to April 30.
There is a monthly payment option available for some categories, but membership ends April 30th for all members regardless of the method of payment.

Does your club offer drop-in play for non-members?
At our current phase of reopening, we do not offer any drop-ins.  However, our 3-month trial membership is a great opportunity to try the club before you commit.

Is there a dress code?
Members are asked to dress appropriately and neatly in the spirit of badminton, squash or fitness.  In determining acceptable dress, good manners and good sportsmanship prevail while neatness, tidiness and choice of colour are important considerations.  Wear light coloured clothes when possible particularly on court. In all cases, proper sports attire is required.

Only non-marking shoes are permitted. Indoor court shoes.  No street shoes.

Can I rent the Vancouver Racquets Club for a special event?
At our current phase of reopening, we do not offer any rental for special events.
