Job Title: Part-Time Administrative Coordinator – Badminton & Squash
Location: Vancouver Racquets Club
Reports To: Office Manager
Schedule: Part-Time (with potential for partial remote work)
Salary: $20/hour for the first three months, then $21/hour.
Overview:
The Vancouver Racquets Club (VRC) is seeking a motivated and organized Part-Time Administrative Coordinator to support the operations of our Badminton and Squash programs. This role acts as a vital liaison between the Club Office, members, and the Squash and Badminton professionals and their respective teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate communications and logistics between the Club Office and Squash/Badminton departments.
- Oversee court allocations for daily play, leagues, and lessons.
- Support the organization and administration of league play and club tournaments.
- Assist with scheduling and booking private and group lessons with pros.
- Liaise with the Directors of Squash and Badminton to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Monitor and report on court maintenance needs and coordinate with appropriate staff.
- Provide general administrative support, including document preparation, data entry, and responding to member inquiries.
- Execute additional tasks or projects as assigned by the General Manager or Office Manager.
- Execute Squash and Badminton Newsletters.
- Manage VRC Website material for both sports.
- General Manager will manage distribution of work between Squash & Badminton.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in administrative or coordination roles, ideally in a sports club or recreation setting.
- Strong familiarity with both badminton and squash, including league or tournament operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Proficient with computer-based administration tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, scheduling software, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends during tournaments.
Work Environment:
- This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
- Some remote work may be possible depending on operational needs and responsibilities.
