About our trainers and instructors

All “Movement For Living” persuasive speech trainers have university degrees in kinesiology or related fields and/or certifications from one or more nationally and internationally recognized organizations.  All are trained in CPR and Fitness First Aid.

An “Movement For Living” exercise professional will show you:

  • How to regain or improve your strength and flexibility!
  • The key exercises that target and reverse common postural weaknesses!
  • A full body workout detailing correct technique and common mistakes to avoid.

 You are in the good hands:

  • We will choose the exercises you need in your one-on-one training sessions to improve your posture, and build your strength.
  • We will make referral suggestions to help you on your wellness journey.

Vreni Gurd

Vreni was the top graduating student from the University of Toronto in Physical and Health Ed. in 1992, and was nominated for the Governor General’s award.  She was fitness director of a Toronto health club before starting a successful personal training business.  As a C.H.E.K. Level 3 Practitioner and C.H.E.K. Level 2 Nutrition and Lifestyle Consultant, most of Vreni’s current practice involves helping clients feel better and feel younger through posture correction, corrective exercise and nutrition and lifestyle counselling.

 

 

Virgil Isaacs

Virgil Isaacs began his career as a personal trainer and exercise coach in 2009 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began with an entry level Canfit Pro PTS Certification and landed a job at a very prominent gym in the Vancouver downtown core. After 3 years of learning the ropes, he realized he wanted to take his knowledge as a practitioner to higher levels. In 2012 Virgil obtained certifications from the C.H.E.K Institute, the largest internationally recognized institute for education in kinesiology-based corrective exercise, strength coaching, nutrition, and holistic living. He now has the titles of a C.H.E.K Exercise Coach and C.H.E.K Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 1. Recently Virgil has achieved his Functional Movement Screening Level 2 certification, which further engrained his knowledge of movement analysis and corrective exercise strategies.

Virgil has a very fine tuned approach to fitness and well-being. His education, experiences with his own body, and his experience in the game have shaped him into the holistic exercise and wellness coach he is today. Through corrective exercise, strength training, cardiovascular training, nutritional coaching, and holistic lifestyle coaching, he is able to bring his clients to the levels of health, fitness, and well being they dream of.
