The playing season of the Vancouver Racquets Club covers a twelve (12) month period from May 1st to April 30th. There is no initiation to join the club. Applicants can register for: Squash, Badminton, Fitness or as a dual member for Squash and Badminton. When you join Squash or Badminton, it also includes Fitness.
3 month Trial Membership (Badminton or Squash)
A trial membership is available from May 1st to January 31st for Adults, Senior Citizens, Students (19 and over), Youth Adults (19-24), and Family Youth Adults (19-24).
New members only. Not valid for past members.
Dues for 3 months must be paid in full, no monthly payment option.
Available once in a life time.
No referral credit for existing member.
Trial memberships do not have guest privileges.
Annual dues (May 2017 – April 2018)
** Members have the options to pay annually, semi annually, or monthly for some categories. Dues must be paid until the end of the membership year which is April 30th regardless of the method of payment.**
For new members, dues are pro-rated to April 30th (minimum dues: 1 month).

Adult members may introduce up to two playing guests per month, one at a time. The same person may not be a guest more than once a month or 6 times in one year. Social guests may be introduced an unlimited number of times at no charge.
There are no guest privileges for juniors.

Daytime guest fee is $9.52 (Monday to Friday 6 am – 3 pm). Prime time guest fee is $14.29 per guest or purchase Guest Passes at the rate of 2 for $26.67, 5 for $61.90, 10 for $106.67 Fitness guest pass is $9.52 valid anytime.
Types of Memberships
Adult (full) membership entitles members to play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A spouse entitles full playing privileges at a discounted rate.
A person who is sixty-five years of age or older as of the beginning of the current membership year shall qualify as a Senior Citizen.
Full-Time Student – Up to 30:
An individual who is in full-time (minimum of 9 credit hours or equivalent) attendance at a post secondary or other educational institution. Proof of enrollment at said institution will be requested. Valid for Students up to 30 years old.
Youth Adult (19-24):
For young adults 19 to 24. This membership allows full playing privileges 24 hours a day, 7 day a week at a discounted rate.
Family Youth (19-24):
For young adults 19 to 24 who have a parent that is a full member. This membership allows full playing privileges 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at a discounted rate.
A child of an adult (full time) member who would otherwise qualify as an Independent Junior member, shall qualify for membership as a Family Junior. Member may only play during such hours designated by the Badminton or Squash Directors.
A person who qualifies as a junior who is under 19 according to Badminton B.C. or Squash B.C. at the beginning of a membership year shall qualify as an Independent Junior. Member may only play during such hours designated by the Badminton or Squash Directors.
Daytime membership is being offered for Squash or Badminton. Play limited to the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays — Monday to Friday.
Early Bird membership is being offered for Squash or Badminton. Play limited to the hours of 6:00 am to 8:45 am on weekdays — Monday to Friday.
Social memberships are only available to those persons who are members in good standing at the end of a particular season. There are no playing privileges for Social members. Guest fee must be paid for Social members to use the facilities. If there is a waiting list, a Social member may not become a playing member in mid-season but will have priority over the people on the waiting list for the following year. Dues are non-refundable and cannot be applied towards membership dues. Dues can only be pro-rated once from November 1st.
Out-of-town members are entitled to play a maximum of 12 times in one year. To be eligible a person must reside beyond Hope, Squamish, or the U.S. border. Out-of-town members must sign the guest book (no guest fee is required). Dues are not refundable. If there is a waiting list, an out-of-town member may not become a full member in mid season, but he/she will have priority over the people on the waiting list for the following year.
Squash Doubles Only:
Gives you access to the Doubles Squash court 24/7 and also access to the fitness area from 6:00 am to midnight every day of the year. The membership is for squash players who wish to play doubles only squash.
The summer membership is for May, June, July and August. No initiation is required. A summer member has no voting privileges. Summer members are not permitted to bring guests according to the guest rules.
Allows use of fitness facilities, change room, sauna, steam room, kitchen and lounge. No initiation is required. Fitness Only members have no access to the Squash or Badminton courts. A fitness member has no voting privileges. The Fitness Area is open from 6 am to midnight every day of the year.
In the event that playing memberships are full, a waiting list will be formed. For an applicant’s name to be placed on the waiting list, they must pay a waiting list deposit of $50.00 per person. The waiting list deposit will be applied toward dues upon joining. This fee is non-refundable except when the Club has not been able to offer a membership within one (1) calendar year of the date of the application. In this event, upon receipt of written request from the applicant, the Club will refund the waiting list deposit. Applicants will be notified when openings are available.
Door Key (FOB):
When memberships are accepted and processed, adult members will be given a door key (FOB) upon submitting a deposit ($15). FOB deposit is non-refundable 6 months after membership expiry. Social and Junior members under 16 are not given door keys.
