- Bring your own partner and register the two of you for a specific Thursday session.
- Registration window: opens Monday after 12:00 PM each week. Sign in to the ladder portal →
- The same portal shows group assignments and ladder standings. No drop-in play — both partners must be pre-registered.
- Arrival & warm-up: starting groups on court by 8:05 PM, first match by 8:10 PM. Waiting groups arrive by 8:20 PM (Court 7 available for warm-up). Waiting groups rotate alternate weeks so the same pairs aren't always on wait.
- Match format (groups of 4 pairs): Pair 1 vs 4 → Pair 2 vs 3 → winners play winners (ranks 1 & 2) → losers play losers (ranks 3 & 4).
- Late penalties — pair-level (if either player is late, the pair is late; cumulative across sessions):
- 1st time late: ranked last pair in the group for that session
- 2nd time late: last in group + drop 5 spots on the ladder
- 3rd time late: last in group + drop 10 spots on the ladder
- 4th time late: 2-week suspension from the XD ladder
- Late Pair Courtesy: a late pair may ask the other two pairs to start without them — only valid if all players from both other pairs agree. One holdout = standard late penalty applies.
- No-show after registering: drop 20 positions on the ladder; repeat no-shows go to the Badminton Director.
